The President of NCTU visits Egypt Gold School and Factory for Jewelry and Accessories

Professor Dr. Mahmoud El-Sheikh, the President of New Cairo Technological University, accompanied by Professor Tarek Abdel Malek Mikhail, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, visited Egypt Gold School and Factory for Jewelry and Accessories in the industrial area of El Obour. The visit aimed to discuss ways of joint cooperation in the field of technology for jewelry and accessories industry, as well as planning for a study program at the university for technology in jewelry and accessories industry.

Egypt Gold School grants a technical diploma in jewelry and accessories industry accredited by the Ministry of Education, in addition to a quality certificate accredited by Egypt Gold Company.

The school aims to prepare and qualify the best graduates to work professionally in the local and international markets in the field of diamond and jewelry technology, which is the same approach followed by New Cairo Technological University. The university seeks to complete this project by admitting graduates of the school and granting them a Bachelor’s degree in technology for jewelry and accessories industry, which is the first of its kind in technological studies in Egypt and the Middle East.

 

In the same context, the meeting discussed the available opportunities for university students to receive practical training in the workshops established by Egypt Gold in its factories in El Obour, and then create real job opportunities for graduates. New Cairo Technological University aims to be a nucleus of a logistic center for teaching gold and jewelry industries within Egypt for the Middle East, Africa, and the world. It will be a source of technological development through graduating a large number of specialized technology students in the field of jewelry and accessories technology.
