Participation of the New Cairo Technological University in the WORKING Solar MENA 2023 Conference

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mahmoud El Sheikh, President of the New Cairo Technological University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Tarek Abdel Malek, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, a team from the university participated today, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from the departments of New and Renewable Energy and Information and Communication Technology in the WORKING Solar MENA 2023 conference held at the Egypt International Conference Center on the ninth and tenth of May 2023. The conference witnessed the participation of major international and local companies in various modern technological fields.

In the same context, Dr. Rasha El Satouhy, a lecturer in the Department of Information and Communication Technology at the university, participated as a speaker in the “Investing in AI and machine learning” axis: reducing costs and carbon emissions while promoting energy efficiency, smart grid integration, and improving the performance of photovoltaic solar panels. She also participated in the conference sessions, responding to queries from the attendees about the importance of artificial intelligence and new and renewable energy technology.

On the sidelines of the conference, many students visited the accompanying exhibition, where they explored the exhibition and engaged in discussions with researchers, decision-makers, and business owners in the field of new and renewable energy.

It is worth mentioning that the Future Energy Exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa is one of the leading conferences and exhibitions in the region for renewable energy. This event brings together all experts and specialists in the field of new and renewable energy technology, including IPP, funders, as well as government organizers and those responsible for the development and adoption of regional energy sectors in the future.
