Today, Thursday, May 25, 2023, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sheikh, President of New Cairo Technological University, received a delegation from Tianjin University of China with the aim of discussing ways of joint scientific and academic cooperation in the presence of Professor Dr. Tarek Abdel Malak Mikhail, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology at the university.

In his welcoming address, Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the commitment of the New Cairo Technological University to collaborate with Chinese universities in scientific, academic, and research fields of mutual interest in general and engineering and technological fields in particular. He specifically highlighted the university’s role as an expertise hub for industry in the surrounding region, which constitutes 40% of the Egyptian industries in general and 58% of the petroleum, gas, and petrochemical industries in the country. He pointed out the university’s financial and human resources, international relations, and common academic degrees with global universities.

The university president emphasized the institution’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Tianjin University through mutual scientific research, the exchange of experiences, and the exchange of faculty members and students. He emphasized the university’s commitment to strengthening partnerships as one of the leading Egyptian technological universities collaborating with major international scientific institutions.
