Cooperation Protocol between the NCTU and the Al-Jalalah University to Develop Academic and Research Cooperation

The NCTU signed a joint cooperation protocol with Al-Jalalah University, with the aim of developing academic and research cooperation in various scientific, research, and applied fields of common interest. This is in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with various universities and scientific and research institutions, to create a stimulating work environment for students through the exchange of different experiences to prepare them for the labor market.

The signing took place in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud El Sheikh, President of the NCTU, Dr. Mohamed El Shanawy, President of Al-Jalalah University, Professor Dr. Tarek Abdel Malak Mikhail, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology at the university, and his accompanying delegation, Dr. Ehab Hassanein, Vice President of Al-Jalalah University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Heno, Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Rana Zidan, Secretary General of the University, and a number of deans and program directors.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud El Sheikh, President of the NCTU, stressed that the university is unique in its specializations in many technological fields. He highlighted that we strongly support it to contribute to development and graduate students who are capable of taking the baton. He also called for universities to unite and cooperate in exchanging experiences, to highlight the concept of national awareness, and that our children must know that all of this is for them to build their future.

The President of the NCTU also thanked the Al-Jalalah University team, who bore the beginnings and supported the establishment of a university to build a city, which is a global idea that requires great effort. This reflects the vision and strategy of the state for construction, expansion, and deepening national belonging.

Dr. Mohamed El Shanawy, President of Al-Jalalah University, pointed out that the purpose of signing the protocol is to implement many programs, activities, training courses, and joint workshops, in addition to providing opportunities for joint practical training for students in various fields, to connect them with the direct labor market.

El Shanawy added that Al-Jalalah University is keen to cooperate with all universities at the local and international levels. He stressed that the state has paid unprecedented attention to the educational process, in light of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. This is through linking the curriculum with the requirements of the labor market and its priorities, which will reflect on opening new horizons in Egypt and the Middle East, to graduate a new generation capable of competing locally and internationally.

It is worth noting that the protocol aims to develop academic and research cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between the two parties, develop comprehensive cooperation in academic and research fields of common interest in the fields of exchanging faculty members and assistants, exchanging experts and specialists in various fields, joint academic programs (first university stage – postgraduate studies), research and scientific theses and education development projects, as well as joint research projects. It aims also to provide consulting expertise in fields of common interest, in addition to training programs and courses (planning – implementation – participation), organizing and participating in conferences, seminars, and scientific discussion circles.

After signing the protocol, the President of the NCTU and the accompanying delegation visited a number of faculties and laboratories at Al-Jalalah University in the medical and engineering specializations related to the specializations of the NCTU, which include a number of advanced laboratories in various technological fields. This is in preparation for the joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of joint practical training for students.
