New Cairo Technological University Organizes a Workshop for Faculty Members on the Competency System

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdel Malak, President of New Cairo University of Technology, and Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Khattam, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology at the university, Dr. Sherif El Hosary, Coordinator of the Mechatronics Program and Director of the Quality Unit, held a workshop for faculty members and the university’s assisting staff, via online, on the competency education system in accordance with international standards for technological education.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdel Malak, President of the University, stresses the importance of adopting technological education on the system of competencies, which would burden the skills and capabilities of university students and graduates, and increase their competitiveness to produce Egyptian technological graduates who can keep pace with international technologies and skills in various technological disciplines.

The competency education system is a new and advanced educational system, in which experts specialized in the industry participate in order to develop curricula through which the student is qualified for the labor market through the participation of skilled people in the competent industry and technical education experts, in addition to teachers and foreign experts to determine the specifications of the graduate and the skills he needs in order to be able to face the local, regional and international labor market.
