Professor Tariq Abdelmalek, President of the New Cairo Technological University, signed a protocol of cooperation with Engineer Essam Abdelfattah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Medko Petroleum Services Company, on Wednesday, 7 November 2023, in fulfilment of Egypt Vision 2030, which provides for cooperation with industry partners as partners in development, success and integration among them, and for the constant development of institutions and programmes of higher education, commensurate with the skills and functions of the future, taking into account Egypt’s need for technological skills and competencies to serve the industrial sector and other economic sectors and doing everything possible in terms of international and local cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Khattam, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology at the University, attended the signing of the protocol, along with Dr. Mohamed Gharib, Coordinator of the Petroleum Production, Transportation, and Processing Program at the University, and Dr. Tamer Zaki at the Petroleum Production, Transportation, and Processing Program.
This protocol aims to provide practical training for students and propose technological research topics for students in different academic stages. It also includes joint coordination between the two parties to join local or international research teams in areas that serve the development of the local industry, especially in the field of wellheads.
