Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the New Cairo Technological University, led by Professor Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, announces the establishment of the University Center for Professional Development at the university’s headquarters in collaboration with the American University in Cairo.

The project undertaken by the University Centre for Career Development (UCCD) at the New Cairo Technological University (NCTU) is a strategic initiative aimed at aligning university education with the dynamic needs of the labor market and industry. The overarching goal is to empower students by providing vocational guidance and employment skills training. Dr. Tariq Abdelmalek, the President of the University, emphasized the institution’s commitment to pioneering advancements in education.

In collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UCCD strives to identify opportunities and gaps in local labor markets. This partnership aims to integrate these insights into university curricula, enhancing students’ preparedness for the workforce. The UCCD, as an integral part of this vision, offers diverse training programs tailored to meet the evolving needs of the labor market. Dr. Abdelmalek emphasized the significance of these programs in building the professional capacity of final-year students, focusing on personal and technical skills, English language proficiency, and business leadership.

Underscoring the pivotal role of the UCCD, Dr. Abdelmalek emphasized its support for students in career planning.
