NCTU Participates in the Ripple Summit 2023 Events in Smart Village

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, President of the New Cairo Technological University, a delegation from the university, represented by Prof. Dr. Walid El- Khattam, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, Dr. Bothaina Mahmoud, Entrepreneurship Lecturer at the university, and Ms. Alaa Mohamed, Training Coordinator, participated in the events of the Ripple Summit 2023 program camp. The camp, which is held for the eighth consecutive year, is organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) at the academy’s headquarters in Smart Village, in collaboration with several entities concerned with entrepreneurship, and with the participation of nearly 30 Egyptian universities.

Abdelmalak explained that the camp aims to raise awareness about the concepts and importance of entrepreneurship and encourage university students to establish startup projects. He stressed the importance of the university delegation’s participation during the launch ceremony of the (RALLY) competition, which is one of the most important competitions supporting entrepreneurship in Egypt.

The university president also highlighted that the Entrepreneurship Club at the NCTU aims to provide excellent opportunities to train youth, support their activities, and help them embark on a non-traditional and free job market. It operates based on advanced technology, the information revolution, and achieving digitalization in all fields of work and aspects of life.

It is worth mentioning that the ” Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally” competition is a competition organized with the aim of presenting and discussing entrepreneurial ideas with experts from various fields. Participants have the opportunity to present their project ideas to investors and business owners from different sectors, in addition to a number of monetary prizes.
