Under the sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, President of the New Cairo Technological University, student Mohamed Salah, a first-year student from the Mechatronics program, won in the 46th and 32nd roles, and qualified for the 8th role in the Republic’s 54-kgs individual boxing tournament today, Saturday, 23 December 2013, continuing for three days, at the Olympus.

This qualification is part of the participation of the New Cairo Technological University in the Ministry of Higher Education Championship, sponsored by Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of the Egyptian Sports Federation of Universities. The tournament was organized in cooperation with the Egyptian Sports Federation of Universities and the Department of Sports Activity of the Directorate-General for Student Welfare of the Ministry of Higher Education.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, the president of the university, congratulated the winning student in the championship for achieving a distinguished position and excelling in sports. He also encouraged all the students of New Cairo Technological University to participate in sports activities, continue to excel, and win championships in the name of the New Cairo Technological University.
