Innovation in Smart Glasses for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Radwa Warf, a second-year student in the Mechatronics program at New Cairo University of Technology, won first place at the International Forum on Technology Education for her innovative project: smart glasses designed to assist people with visual impairments. The innovation enables users to identify coins, distinguish colors, and detect household malfunctions through voice prompts via Bluetooth technology. It has been officially registered as an Egyptian patent, reflecting the university’s support for innovation and entrepreneurship.
