
New Cairo Technological University Receives a Delegation from Shandong Development Co., Ltd. to Discuss Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation
As part of New Cairo Technological University’s strategy to strengthen international cooperation and openness to distinguished educational institutions, Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, President of the University, along with Dr. Walid El Khatam, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, and Dr. Mohamed El Soudah, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, received a delegation from Shandong Development Co., Ltd., a company specializing in fostering cooperation between Chinese and Egyptian universities in the fields of engineering, technology, and automotive industries.
The delegation included Mr. Guo Na, Overseas President of Shandong Development Co., Ltd., affiliated with the Chinese Security Council, and Mr. Hong Ba Tao, company official.
Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak reviewed the university’s various academic programs, facilities, laboratories, and equipment, highlighting the university’s mission to prepare skilled technological graduates capable of meeting local and global labor market needs in technological fields, as well as fostering innovation, creativity, and excellence.
The meeting discussed avenues for joint cooperation, particularly in student exchange programs that would allow students to study at Chinese universities for three years in the field of automotive manufacturing and electric vehicles. Shandong Development Co., Ltd. expressed its willingness to provide training and education opportunities for students from various countries, along with potential employment opportunities after completing the training.
The discussion also covered the implementation of joint educational programs and collaboration in modern technological specializations, especially in the field of prosthetics, in line with global developments in industry and innovation.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue coordination to develop a clear action plan to activate the proposed areas of cooperation. Commemorative gifts were exchanged between the two sides. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Buthaina Mahmoud, Director of the Entrepreneurship Club, and Rania El Sayed, Director General of Public Relations and Media.
