Industrial Partner

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, represented by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), serves as the industrial partner for this program. A cooperation protocol has been signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research represented by New Cairo Technological University and the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, along with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources—represented by EGPC to jointly implement this specialized program.

Program Overview

Egypt’s petroleum sector depends on a skilled workforce of engineers, geologists, chemists, and technicians. Practical experience has highlighted the importance of structured professional training and the urgent need to prepare specialized technicians through applied education rather than relying solely on on-the-job experience.

As Egypt moves toward becoming a regional energy hub in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean, and with expanding exploration and production activities nationwide, there is a growing need for technically proficient professionals with advanced academic and practical training who can collaborate effectively with international partners.

To meet this demand, this pioneering program was launched to award Advanced Diploma and Bachelor’s degrees in petroleum and natural gas production and transportation. It aims to prepare highly qualified technical specialists to serve Egypt and the wider African and Middle Eastern regions, with future expansion planned in areas such as refining, petrochemicals, and well drilling.
