
New Cairo Technological University Inaugurates the Equal Opportunities and Combating Violence Against Women Unit ,This morning, Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak, President of New Cairo Technological University, and Dr. Walid El Khatam, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology, inaugurated the Equal Opportunities and Combating Violence Against Women Unit. This step comes as a continuation of the university’s pioneering role in promoting women’s rights and integrating women’s issues into the university’s strategy and Egypt Vision 2030. The unit operates under the supervision of Dr. Sabrine Abu Shousha, Head of the Unit, with the participation of the National Council for Women and its effective contributions to establishing Equal Opportunities and Combating Violence Against Women units across Egyptian universities.
Dr. Tarek Abdelmalak affirmed that the unit aims to raise awareness of women’s issues and empower women within both the educational and community strategies. It also seeks to enhance students’ awareness, combat extremist ideas, oppose violence against women, and organize student activities that support women in partnership with the National Council for Women.
For his part, Dr. Walid El Khatam stated that the inauguration of the unit marks a new step toward providing a safe university environment that encourages success and creativity. He emphasized that supporting and empowering women represents a true investment in the future and advancement of society.
